I admit, when I first started selling MoonLight tents on Kickstarter in 2015, I got really annoyed at ultralighters that called the two person model a "Car camping" tent. All the features, all the solutions to longstanding problems, all the strength — bah! If the tent was over 4 pounds it was a "Car camping" tent. Also never mind that people have had great backpacking trips for decades and decades with MUCH heavier gear. But I digress…
Now I just smile and ask if they might need a fantastic tent for their car camping trips.
EVERY backpacker does some car camping. So how about a tent for that which:
• fits nicely into a small car
• can be pitched easily and well, no matter where you end up
• handles the winds you find at completely exposed campground sites
• has the highest quality workmanship and materials
• contributes in every way to your camping enjoyment (that's why this website is so long and detailed)
